Finding your IP address…
Your IP address and network details appear here.
PUBLIC DATA. ONE SIMPLE LOOKUP.Public IP addresses, explained
Your public IP address is the one websites see. Your internet provider usually assigns it to your router, and every device on your network shares it, while each device has its own private address inside the network, such as 192.168.1.10.
Many connections now have both an IPv4 and an IPv6 address. If you use a VPN, a proxy, or iCloud Private Relay, websites see that service’s address instead of yours.
Common questions
Why does my IP address change?
Most home and mobile providers assign dynamic addresses that change from time to time, for example when your router restarts. A fixed (static) IP is usually a paid extra.
Is the location correct?
It’s an estimate based on where the network’s address block is registered or used. It often shows your provider’s nearest city, or just the country.
Can someone find me from my IP address?
Not your home address. An IP shows your provider and a rough area. Your provider knows which customer used it, but shares that only for a legal reason.
